Northwest Professional Dance Project
Auditions for LAUNCH: 2
Dancers must demonstrate advanced ballet technique (pointe not required), be versatile and movement oriented, be open to artistic direction and suggestion, and be explorative and highly professional.
Participation is selective and very limited (usually 25-30 dancers) in order to provide each dancer the opportunity to work directly and intimately with our guest artists.
Dancers must audition and submit a completed application (link below), résumé, dance photo and audition fee. Letter(s) of recommendation from a director or dance faculty member recommended.
Auditions will consist of ballet class and demonstration of ability to move in directed choreography and improvisation.
Auditions can be expected to last a minimum of two hours. All dancers will participate in the entire audition process (no cuts).
LAUNCH: 2 / July 6 - 18 / 2009
Early application is recommended. We suggest that you mail your materials at least 10 days prior to the audition. Materials will also be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the audition.
Dancers who have participated in previous NWPDP Projects can apply without auditioning - completed application and $25 fee must be received by Friday March 20, 2009 (earlier submission recommended).

We can accept a limited number of auditions by DVD, but preference will be given to those who audition in-person. Dancers needing to submit a DVD audition MUST contact us in advance for details.
